The Hyena ClanWelcome one and all to The Hyena Clan - a group for all of those interested in the much-maligned hyena. Hyena artists, therianthropes, furries, or just fans, are all welcome here!
This group is still a work in progress. Ideas, suggestions, or contributions are much appreciated.
We need some hyena art put up onto our club too. Come on folks, there are plenty of you now - give us some suggestions! This includes favourites from non-members and your own work.
A new feature we're going to do is a Hyena Artist of the Month feature which will come up every month, surprisingly. Suggest someone with links to their deviantArt or website, or nominate yourself and we'll consider including you. Nobody has nominated themselves yet, so I'll be having planning out a schedual of artists.
We're also looking for a new avatar to upload here to represent us. Cara Mitten has offered to go ahead and design one, which will be fabulous.
The first contest is going to be posted very soon, this is THE LAST CALL for anyone out there prepared to offer a commission of some sort as a prize. Otherwise, it'll be by me. PH33R!

Devious Comments
dA groups are a bit of an odd thing. You see, they officially don't have *any* controls on them, although there are rules about them *ahem*.
What it comes down to is that a group is just the same as a user account, but the user who moderates it (who set up the account) can add people who ask to a list of members, which are displayed in the journal. Instead of the moderator submitting artwork as deviations, members of the group can show the moderator pieces which they would like the moderator to upload to the group. So, basically, you would send a note to ~TheHyenaClan with a link to a piece of art on your account, ~Stripey-d. I would then upload that piece to TheHyenaClan's account, with the title and who is was by.
We can also add favourites, but dA rules say that we can't make a favourite of anyone's art who is in the group. So deviantArt could shut the group down if TheHyenaClan added your pic to the favourites.
It's a bit of a complicated system, really. But until deviantArt actually set us up proper groups it's what we're stuck with.
